Some pictures from Dianne & Marc's cruise in the Western Carribean

Hi All! Marc just took me on a week-long cruise for my 40th bday. Gah...can you believe how old we're getting? Anyway, I'm posting pictures....even though I don't think anyone uses this site anymore. What the heck!

Here are a few pictures from the Port Aransas reunion. The gang included Kristen, Reid, Pam, Geo, Nick, Arpana, Marc and Dianne. Alex is in the picture too. All the other kids are in the Junior Gang picture. Post 'em if you got 'em. It was great seeing everyone.

Less Than One Week!

Next week this time, we'll all be in Port Aransas. Are there any details we haven't covered? If not, we'll see you there. Looking forward to it.

We'll have to see if we can find a way to connect with those of you who couldn't make it this weekend.

I'd post updated pix of the kids, but I'm sure we'll have better ones after next weekend. :P

Reunion news

Hey gang,

There are several friends that we weren't able to reach through e-mail and we are all sad about that. The next reunion is going to be a mini-reunion for some of us that already live in Texas because it's in Port Aransas, Texas. We will miss everyone else. Everyone is invited to come. Bring your kids, relatives, and other friends.

We are staying at the Sandpiper Condominiums in mid-May for a weekend.

I'll sign off and attach a picture of Alex sitting proudly on the big potty.

This is a picture of Marc's dad, the English Department Head at Texas A&M, giving a speech to the pre-med students about the interaction of literature and medicine. At the end, he threw up a picture of Alex to talk about the humanitirian interaction between doctors, and also caring moments spent between the patient and the patitet's care givers. You had to be there. It gave me a lump in my throat.

Alex was born at 32 weeks due to a "placenta previa" which means the placenta fails to move up and along the side wall. Blah blah blah, too much than anyone wanted to hear. Yaydayda...everything turned out fine.

Reunion blog

So what about our next reunion? I think Chelle would be looking into arrangements (not positive). We also had some comments about where and when it should be. I think we narrowed it down to somewhere on the Gulf Coast and sometime that avoids spring breakers.

BIG QUESTION: should we just use email instead of this blog site? I'm thinking yes since this blog site isn't used very much.

Beyond that question, my vote for the reunion would be South Padre. It has the best beaches in Texas and it now has Schlitterbahn for the kids and the kids at heart. I'm open to other ideas.

I'm a bug.

Alex was a bug for Halloween. He loved his spindly legs. He wasn't too fond of the bug hat though. Once he figured out that people would just give him candy for his candy bag, GAME ON!

EMAIL FROM CHELLE AND PICTURE FROM EARLY MARCH 2006...

I have heard back from most people and there seems to be interest.

Texas seems to be okay with everyone, although there were suggestions of South Padre, Corpus Christie, and Galveston. In terms of considering the tradeoffs among these, add your thoughts to our website at

http://aggiemba.blogspot.com/

If you can’t figure out how to make comments, send them to Dianne at dhparrish@gmail.com and she’ll post them for you. If you don’t make any comments, I’ll assume you are indifferent among these choices. Otherwise, we will decide which destination based on the comments on the website.

In terms of timing, Kristen raised a really going point about spring breakers. So we are probably looking at a long weekend in late April or in May.

Can’t wait to see everyone!

Lisa, Jim, Connor, and Jake

Hi everyone -

Attached are pictures of Jake Alexander Cook. Some of you know that he was
born on June 22, weighing 9 lbs 6 oz, and was 19 3/4 inches long. He has a
full head of black hair, which is so different from Connor, who had no
hair!
He is doing great and Connor has been such a good big brother. He loves
just watching the faces Jake makes.

We will send out more pictures soon!

Chelle and Bob's baby boy...

Here are some updated pictures of Ryan. He’ll be 9 months in a couple of weeks. He is doing great. He loves to crawl and is trying to walk. He is very curious; he has to explore everything. Overall he seems to be a very happy baby. - Chelle

Update on The Roses

Wow! It's been awhile. I'd been thinking about trying to revive the email chain, but it looks like Diane went one step further. It's great to see what everyone is doing. I can't believe how big these kids are all getting. (Or how many of them there are, for that matter.)

August 2006Speaking of kids, our two are getting big. Eric (6) started first grade this year. He is also joining Cub Scouts and is playing Soccer for the 5th season. Emily (3 going on 13) goes to a preschool two days each week and recently started dance lessons.

Pam is still enjoying her time at home with the kids. I am still trying to set the record (in our group anyway) for the longest tenure with a single employer. In my spare time I am still designing websites, coaching Eric's soccer team, and trying to stay out of trouble.

It would be great if we could all get together for a reunion. Next year would be 15 years. We would love to see everyone.

What's up from Reid.

We have two kids now. Zach and Julia. I still work at GSFS but am looking for a new Job as I am pretty bored doing the same old stuff every month.

A friend and I started the websited http://www.pokerlizard.com to take advantage of the poker boom, hence the goofy blogger name. Here is a pic from our recent "business" trip to Vegas where we met with a poker site that wants to advertise with us, pretty cheezy party at the Hard Rock casino penthouse....but hey free beer is free beer.

A headhunter called about a job in Sacramento, so Chelle and I may be neighbors some day, I'll have to rob a bank to afford a house up there though; and doubtful Kristen will want to move.

Hey College Station buds!

I don't know if this blog site is going to work out for our group, but I'm giving it a shot. How is everyone???? I married Marc Parrish four years ago and we had a son, Alex, 1 1/2 years ago. Marc and I both work as Systems Analysts for UT System in Austin. We are both getting into triathlons and 5k/10k's. That's about it. Please post what you're up to!
